A very simple spell from a very ancient tome:

Buy yourself two candles (any color)
Light them in front of a mirror
Gaze into the mirror 
Say "I love you" to the person you see there
If you can say it and mean it you are ready to be loved
If not repeat the spell daily until you can

It sounds a lot easier than it is...
