Somewhere besides the system tray (the clock and icons) on your panel,
there should be a clipboard history manager. You know, the things you
copy and paste. There is a history of it if you ever need it.
In general, copy-pasting works the same here: Ctrl+X for cutting and
Ctrl+C for copying into clipboard (the selected text, other selections,
files, ...), and Ctrl+V for pasting.
Except the terminal window; when copying or pasting from or into the
terminal, additionally use the Shift modifier, so Ctrl+Shift+C and
Ctrl+Shift+V.
