In the Shop

Inside the store, you can place items, ask Tear things, or open the shop and let customers in. As your merchant level rises, so will the number of things you can do.
Selling Items

This is where the magic happens, and the heart of the game. Open the store by selecting the option at the main counter, let customers come in, and then sell them stuff!
If you're savvy, you can haggle a good price out of nearly any customer - just be sure not to get too greedy and anger people!
Placing Items

Move Recette to the counter you wish to place an item on, press Button 1 to bring up the item menu, and highlight the item you want to place on the counter and press Button 1 again to place it.
Remember that you can scroll through item categories by pressing left and right, and down a long list by pressing down.
By selecing 'nothing,' you can clear the counter space in question, if you wish.
Store Commands

Stand by Recette's chair at the sales counter and press Button 1 to see the store commands.
In the beginning, you'll be limited to opening the store, but as your merchant level increases so will your options.
Tear Commands

If you talk to Tear, who is moving about the store, these commands will be displayed.
(You will know you can speak to Tear if a little speech bubble saying "Tear" appears above Recette's head.)
She can tell you about the store's atmosphere, allow you to check what various merchant levels allow you to do, summarize the news of the day, and replay tutorials.
Store Atmosphere

Tear will give you her personal analysis on the store's atmosphere.
Changing the atmosphere can change the kinds of customers you get,
and how many you get.
Merchant Levels

As you run your store and interact with your customers your merchant level will rise.
This option lists what you gain at a given merchant level.
